After a lot of worry and stress you were born 19 days early at 2:21 am on July 1rst. Your birthday is one day before your Uncle David's and two days before your Aunt Annie's birthday. I am sure in the future you will love sharing birthday cakes with them as well as the Green Meadow 4th of July party we missed this year.
Since you were only 4lbs and 9 oz (5 oz smaller than they estimated in the ultrasound) we did lots of kangaroo care with you as soon as they let us have you in our room that morning. When you had trouble breathing and regulating your body temperature and they took you to the NICU on your birthday, we were very scared and missed you a lot. Luckily the nurses were nice and we came and visited you late into the night.
Your first day was a little crazy, but we were so happy to meet you.
