...until we had to dress you for the car seat and nothing fit!! We had been so focused on getting you well and getting you out of the NICU and Intermediate Care Ward that we hadn't really stopped to realize that you are a tiny, tiny, tiny baby. Up until your discharge you wore diapers, 3 blanket swaddles and a random nursery t-shirt that was more like a straight jacket because of your IV arm and so many wires and probes. When they unexpectedly told us you could go home on the same day as Mommy was getting discharged we ran around like crazy getting everything done so we could take you home. When we put on your pink puppy velour track suit and hoodie the pants fell off!
We are just so happy you are well and home that we'll have to be careful to take extra special care of you so you can grow up big and strong and we'll have to get some preemie clothes for you stat! A lady at the hospital told us that we will want to save all your preemie clothes for you to dress your dolls in later just like her twin daughters.
